two more Easter cards that I made

Hi everyone thought I would get another quick post in before going up to the city to have my cataract surgery tomorrow(Monday 30th).

I was playing around with this Joyfold card and did these two cards the pink one uses ordinary pink cardstock and the inside smaller card uses the pink coredination cardstock that I have recently gotten. I put that through the Cuttlebug using my favourite Swiss Dots folder of course and again using these lovely Easter stickers that I got from my local $2 shop.

The designer paper is from Kaiser. I just love their double sided papers that they now have they are so versatile.

The second card is again the same Joyfold design which I found extremely easy to do and again using two shades of green coredination cardstock and the reversable Kaiser paper and more $2 stickers from the just Incredible $2 and more local shop here.

I will be away from here till the middle of the week as my cataract surgery is tomorrow but hopefully all will go well and I can see a heck of a lot better than all this blurines that I have at present and the inability to see the fine print too.

MojoMonday sketch #79

Here is my take of the sketch challenge #79 at I am not great on using the scalloped punches so decided to use my Victorian decorative scissors edgings. Reckon it looks just as good. I also used an Ester sticker got from our $2 shop as I don't have a good range of Easter stamps on hand. Do go and take a peek. I am enjoying these sketches. not sure if I will be able to participate next week though with my upcoming eye surgery on the 30th March.

Thecuttlebugspot challenge #23

Here is my take on the Spring challenge card over at for their week #23 card.

I have used the masking technique for the background and the Antique Linen ink from Tim Holtz over the masking tape technique. I used my trusty Swiss Dots Cuttlebug embossing folder for the background underneath the Hero Arts "Spring" stamp that I used in the centre. The flowers are a Cuttlebug die that I have also used for this card.

I am very happy again with the end result. Do take a peek yourselves.

The Pink elephant challenge #7

Hi its me again with this week's that you can see here at this link and also here on my blog.

I used my Fiskars Lace border punch for the border, scraps of light orange coredinations (sp) cardstock and left over designer paper and lemon cardstock source unknown for this card. The embossing folder was the Swiss Dots from Provocraft (Cuttlebug) and the chick sticker was brought from my local $2 shop. The yellow rhinestones are from Kaisercraft.

Hope that you like my take on this sketch as I enjoyed making it.

Cards made at card class March 17 2009

Hi I'm back again to share with you the four cards that we made at our Punch art card class last night with our tutor Alison.

There were five of us there last night and we spent a lovely two hours together making cards.Last night's theme was using different punches. I did find the flower card using the tag punch for petals and folding them a bit fiddly and my favourite card that we made from last night for me was the cute Punch art owl card. I can see that I am going to have to get a couple of new punches for when I want to make this particular card.

So here are the cards that we did at class last night. Feel free to leave a message here won't you.

Monday Mojo challenge #78

Yes I am on a roll today with my challenges here is my take on the Monday Mojo card sketch #78. Its another one that I have enjoyed making and let's think about it you have a couple of cards already made to use as either RAKS or birthdays or as in one group we have at various times A Flood winner so doing this the cards are already made in advance. perhaps I need to do some in Christmas themes too as so far I have only made one Christmas card this year. Maybe after I have my eye surgery i will get into doing this year's Christmas cards more. Kind of want to get this surgery on the 30th March out of the way first although its not concerning me in any way. Enjoy this week's Monday Mojo card. Here is the link to the list for more inspiration as well

Really behind with my blog just now

I hadn't realised how much behind I had gotten with this blog until I came here today but as usual in this household I always come last when it comes to trying to get things done on this big computer but I do like it for uploading card scans and stuff but might just have to have a rethink here and go back to taking digital photos of the cards that I make and upload them on the laptop now that I have been able to add extra memory to it.

I went along to the monthly Cuttlebug class at the local stamp shop last Tuesday morning and will share with you the cards that I made there in this post. I really do enjoy those classes and look forward to the night one on Tuesday 17th March where this time we are using punches again.

I am continuing to enjoy my Tai Chi classes and are finding that the nerve tingling that I had in my feet and fingers has stopped so I think this means that my circulation is working lots better these days as well. I am also finding too that my sugar levels are starting to act more normally than in the past so it all has to be good.

I even feel that I now have a life again and want to get out and do things like the card classes and the Tai Chi classes. Are hoping to do something next term with Tai Chi as well plus I now have the Tai Chi for Diabetes DVD so that I am able to do the exercises in my own time at home.
