The Pink elephant challenge#16 and The Cuttlebugspot challenge #32

This week I am again combining the two above challenges I am using the sketch from http://thepinkelephantchallenge.blogspot.com/ and combining it with the orange/blue and brown challenge over at the following blog http://thecuttlebugspot.blogspot.com/

I used orange cardstock from unknown sources for the background of these card sketches, and my scalloped circles Nesties set and then cut the circle in half and ran it through the Swiss dots Cuttlebug folder. I also used a strip of brown cardstock and ran it through the Divine Swirls Cuttlebug folder and adhered it to the orange cardstock and stamped the You're Special sentiment onto the brown cardstock.

I am rather pleased with the finished result. Hope that you like it as well.

Mojo Monday sketch #87

Here is my take on this week's card sketch over at the http://mojomonday.blogspot.com/ blog. I have a thing for stripes just now so here is some more of that striped paper that I am using for this challenge along with Kaiser blue pearls, Nesties Petite circles and flowers from an unknown source.

Hope that you like what I have done this week.

The Pink elephant challenge#15

The Pink elephant challenge this week over at http://thepinkelephantchallenge/#15.blogspot.com/ was to do with Mongrams and letters so for this challenge I used my Labels Nesties Set #3 and after cutting it out with the Cuttlebug I put it through the bug again using my good ole trusty swiss Folder. The letter "J" is a chipboard letter from sources unkwnonw. The background is also using the trusty Swiss dots A2 embossing folder and the striped paper and blue flowers come from sources unknown.I hope you like my take for this week.

The Cuttlebugspot challenge#30 - Windows

Here is my take on the Windows challenge over a thttp://thecuttlebugspot.blogspot.com/ I put the red card with the Asian themed paper through my "Bug" using the Divin swirls embossing folder. From that I cut out the "window" using the Cuttlebug die "Dandelion". I then used my favourite Hero Arts clear stamp set the Asian ladies one, stamped the Asian lady in red ink cut around her and taped her to the inside of the card to give the window effect. I also used Kaiser pearls on the outside but you can't see these all that well in my scan. Hope you like my take on this week's challenge.

MojoMonday challenge#86

Here is my take after a few attempts at this week's sketch challenge over a thttp://mojomonday.blogspot.com/.

This was cheap designer paper that I got from a local store like K mart that we have in New Zealand and is known as The Warehouse. I used my Stampin Up scallop border punch and the flowers are from one of the Cuttlebug dies and the middle image is one of the Asian ladies from the Hero Arts clear stamps range.

Hope you like what I have done with this. I am now happy with the completed result.

The Pink elephant challenge week#14

Here is my take on the colour challenge over at http://thepinkelephantchallenge.blogspot.com/

We had to use the following colours light blue, medium or dark blue, green and white. I found this lovely striped paper that seemed fitting to use for this challenge amongst my stash so cut it down and then used my scallop border punch for the edging. I used my rectangle Nesties to cut out the cuttlebug piece for which I used my Divine embossing folder and then used green Kaiser pearls and the white flower. Hope you like it too.

The Cuttlebugspot challenge #29

Here is my this week's challenge card #29 I think it is over at the following blog http://thecuttlebugspot.blogspot.com/.

I did this one at class on Tuesday morning and thought it worthy to put into this week's challenge here. Hope that you like it.

Latest cuttlebug class cards May 5 2009

Hi all I went along to another Cuttlebug class on Tuesday morning of this week. We made the usual 4 cards using Cuttlebug folders and dies.

The first card was a pot of flowers and that was the one that challenged me most this time. This is the one made of brown cardstock and an assortment of Cuttlebug die flowers as well.

We then made a Mother's Day or any special day card using the Leafy branch folder and more Cuttlebug flowers. I really like this one and intend to make some of this at a later date. This is the creamy coloured bas card with lilac and grey backgrounds that seem to go nice together I reckon.

The third card was another simple but effective male card using the Striped Cuttlebug folder eyelets and a star punched out and stuck to the brown strip of cardstock. As I say very effective.

The last card was a birthday card and a new type of fold to me with the edge punched using the Stampin Up scallop punch and the Happy birthday Cuttlebug folder. Its also one that I am planning to adapt to use for Christmas cards.

Hope you like these as much as I did apart from the challenge of the Pot of Flowers card.
